He achieved his degree in economics at the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, accompanied by lectures in the subjects of world history, world religion and arts. Thereby his particular interest focused in modern and futuristic sculpture.
During his travels he met people of all origins and upbringings and was able to see the huge evidences of human art history, stretching back thousands of years. Thereby he became conscious of the unbiased contact with erotic and erotic art in most of the worlds nations. They experience erotic as an naturalness, as an important part of their life and their culture.
Motivated and inspired by this experiences, he started to express his emotions in erotic sculptures. His masterpieces shall touch peoples innermost self and raise them in a world of senses and sensuality. He prefers to work with the precious material bronze, often in combination with a 24 carat gold plating or gemstones.
Paul John Ballard has always had an eye for a pretty woman and a gift for drawing. Combine the two and you get some exceptional artwork. Paul’s natural talent has produced some iconic images. Some fanciful some powerful but always fine in detail. His style has immortalised beautiful woman from around the globe.

Paul John Ballard was always acknowledged as the best artist at school, and was expected to pursue a career in art, instead he joined the army. Having obtained qualifications for electrical and mechanical engineering, he spent the next 12 years in construction, after being blown up and burnt several times he decided a career change was needed. In 1992 he embarked on a career in art.
He now works from home on detailed drawings and from his studios on larger oil paintings. The studios also house “the guild of erotic artists” which he co founded with Colin Ballard, Ken Clarke and Ray Leaning.
The artist did Art Foundation at Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Then he returned to college as a mature student in 1981, gaining a BA (Hons) Fine Art from Exeter and a PGCE (Art & Design) from Brighton University in 1985. He spent his student days in the life room following the traditional skills of classical life drawing and painting. an honest and subtle medium that demands mastery.
The artist studied art and art education at the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, accompanied by studies in philosophy, psychology und history of arts. He is an international lecturer and professor in painting, sculpturing and artistic photography.Further studies at the art academy of Esslingen and at the technical school of Friedberg, including bronze casting and the interaction of design, colours and energy, aimed at bringing his sculpturing onto a higher level. At the moment he is living and working in his studio in Germany, surrounded by forests.His masterly, futuristic sculptures are affected to the people of the 21. century, who value
